Possibly Monday but might be imaginary

Can't sleep.
Might get up and do something.
Rain has stopped and wind has dropped so think it will be a damp one.

WFH maybe a challenge with kids on half term & builders here.

Later, may even ride a bike for once

Pea souper outside since I got up so did some weights and yoga instead. Bike lights would've just bounced back straight off the fog.
Should be sunny later though, hopefully I'll still be awake to enjoy it.

5x milder than yesterday and negative wind so thats a plus.

Perving a Papaya product later over interweb see what shenanigans have occurred with the competition. that is if I can extricate from beneath my dog whos worked out I'm a great way to keep her side warm.

Did some thonking over the weekend and concluded I am going to completely change one of the bikes over. Fear not Matt, Ti bikes staying as is. Gravel bikes annoying me so changing bits.

Bar that may skirt around some work while eating hot cross buns, not sure what else to do.

Hot cross buns... now there's an idea.

Drizzly, slightly foggy and mild. No Toots schooling this week.

  • Fairly heavy weekend finished off with an 8 mile run yesterday. Hot tub was a welcome treat for the legs!

    WFW today, chasing stuff.

The debate being, toasted or un-toasted, jam or no jam.

Jam? On a hot x bun?

    Burn him.

    Always toasted. Never raw.

Burn his ashes, hit them with a hammer and hoy them into the sea.

Have to be lightly toasted so the currents etc inside don't dry out.

An I could have been worse an suggested Lime marmalade

Toasted brown not anaemic and butter only. No jam and definitely no margarine.

Snow has gone, washed away by the rain and I miss the white stuff already, not least because it covered up my crappy lawn. Thankfully Mrs. 666 has the job of walking the hounds in the week in what will not be a nice little mudfest.

Onwards to more work type stuff. And lunch. Maybe a run tonight as I need a spot of exercise.

    I always says it’s devils censored .......

But IF I had to eat butter it would be on a hot cross bun

Loads of rubbish and an old mattress taken to the dump, homes under the hammer caught up on. Lunch soon. Planning on reading another Rivers of London graphic novel soon rather than using my first half term day on work. (Probably still going to do a bit of marking later though)

Who tf buys let alone eats water-in-fat emulsion? Yeuch.

Why do hot cross buns contain currants?

Sorry I do, normally the low fat version as well. But always butter on hot cross buns and decent fresh bread. Normally a big farmhouse bloomer.

    Just putting it our there

Toasted teacake >>>> hot cross buns.

not only do they taste nicer, but they are usually far bigger. Win win.

Hot cross loaf, it is the future, also perfect for toasting

Nah, don't get marge thing. Only ever have butter and only (exc cooking with) on bread, normally self made but local Coop do do v good tiger bread. Why on earth would I downgrade the experience with some foul trash spread?

Anyways. First bike ride for a week plus this pm. Definitely thawed. All pretty good bar one short gravel section where seems Farmer Palmer has been moving heavy equipment. Rather soft and sticky. C'mon springtime, where are ya where are ya?

hot cross buns and toasted tea cakes are toasted with butter only.

i will fight anyone who says differently.

scones - butter, whipped fresh creak, jam (order of cream/jam can be reversed dependant on whther you are Devon or Cornwall).

Warm and almost dry, but still managed to find a road half covered in ice on the after work ride.

Toasted with butter OR plain for me.

    Evening folks,
Busy day of wfw, stupidly drove in as it was persisting down. Took me an hour to get in due to roadworks, it's a 20 minute ride 🙄
The EPO likes cold cross buns, I keep telling her that's not a thing and the clue is in the name. Toasted with butter is the only way as has been mentioned.

She sounds like my soul mate.
    Only proviso is no butter.
