Vittoria Inner Tubes

Hi
Looking at getting some new inner tubes on my work/hack bike. Trying to make it as puncture resistant as possible (I’m not fussed at all by weight) my preferred option (which I ran on my old bike) was to pop some sealant in the tube, I’ve got loads of stans sealant which has worked 100% in the last 3 years (no punctures). Planet X have the tyres I need but also have some cheap inner tubes by Vittoria, so all I need to know is do the vittoria inner tubes have a removable valve core?

No they're not removable cores. I've still managed to put sealant in them by unscrewing (using pliers) the brass end of the valve, then pushing the valve core into the inner tube. Fill with sealant, then find the valve and reinsert. Finally screw the brass top back on and give the threaded part a light tap with a hammer to stop it coming unscrewed.
It works but it's much less hassle using removable ones though.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like I’ll be paying p&p for some conti’s. I like the idea of the way you do it though.

Ed, the Vittoria Standard inner tube does have a removable valve core. Others Vittoria inners may not.

Thanks for this. I’ll get some of those at that price!

That's handy to know. The Vittoria road lite / ultralite aren't removable valve cores.
