How to mount front light w/o fouling bar bag

Hi
I'd like to mount a dynamo powered light on my fork crown for touring but I have a bar bag that might cover it. How do people avoid the bar bags covering their lights? Do I just need a longer steerer/smaller bag? Grateful for any pics of set ups. Thanks
