Saddle rails

Hi, could anyone tell me if a Fizik r1 saddle with oval carbon rails (7mm-9mm) will fit the standard offset seatpost on my Pinarello f8. At present i have a Fizik r7 saddle with 7mm round rails. Advice would be welcome.

    Yes, it’ll fit as the 7mm dimension is in the same plane in both cases. Whether or not you should fit it to a post for round rails is a matter for debate. I’ve fitted oval rails to a post meant for round ones, bit you have to watch out you don’t crush them. You may be able to get suitable inserts. Or get a new post and sell the old one.
