MTB BEGINNER advice on what to get budget £1500

in MTB buying advice
Im new into mountain bike riding i am looking for a full suspension set up i have a budget of £1500 not really sure whats best to go for. I have a giant road bike which has been amazing so i trust giant but want some advice off people who have riden mtb for a while. Cheers all

    Id be doing alot more trail with no big jumps just usual up and down mountain trail with few drops and rocky ground. The trance is slightly out of budget sadly cheapest ive seen is over 2k. Whats your thought on a stance 2 or a specialist superjump they seem more my budget. The bossnut is impossible to get ive looked EVERYWHERE im 6ft 2 so need large.

    I may look at a stance then also been advised on the trek fuel ex 5 but cant find any good deals or would even be happy with a 2020 model.

    Cool so we think a 2020 stance for bike Im 6ft 2 would a large be a good fit or do i need XL

    Given your budget I'd go for the Stance 29 2 2021or Stance 27.5 2021.
    My personal choice would be Deore rather than SX. I have fitted and maintain SX and NX equipped bikes for a friend and find it really frustrating to set up and keep shifting smoothly.
    Unfortunately neither bike is fitted with a dropper post so that is something you should budget for.
    As for size, have a look at the geometry charts and Giant's size guide, according to which a L is right for you.
    Your major problem will be availability so I wish you good luck getting something.

    If you are confident buying second hand there a few decent looking Trances for sale on eBay but you'll obviously be limited with regards to travel to view or collect at the moment.

    Thank you. Im currently looking at the giant stance 29 1 2021 has the dropper and rockshock setup front and rear its slightly over budget but has the things i will be looking to upgrade right away
