Band Of Climbers clothing

Hi folks. Just wondering if anyone has had any past experience with the clothing brand Band Of Climbers. I follow Ed Laverack and he swears by the latest winter jacket offering. Any feedback would be very appreciated .

Is Laverack sponsored or paid for promoting them?

Never heard of them tbh but from their name it’s sounds like one of the recent additions to the market - La Col, Passione, etc. Haven’t seen the website but we all know what it’s going to look like.....

From a quick look, it looks exactly as you would expect. Except that they haven't bothered doing any usability testing, there is loads of white text over light images, which get even lighter if you hover over them.

    excellent.

so the same as all the other ones then?

without looking - £120 ish for a top, £150ish for shorts, normal descriptive hyperbole, models with beards and tats?

In fairness their jerseys seem to be 60-90 and their shorts 100-115.

Really boring and bland clubby type designs as well I imagine.

I'm looking for a gilet, at the moment, and stumbled upon "Siroko" (https://www.siroko.com/collections/cycling).

They're stuff looks decent and is very inexpensive. Let's be honest, jackets aside where I think it's worth the expense for something properly snug and technical, winter kit gets covered in mud and salt, and summer kit gets covered in salt and drenched in colour-fading UV light.

And it all gets washed a sh1te-tonne.

Never heard of them but the stuff looks really nice. Decent reviews on Trustpilot.

Would be interested to see what the quality is like.

Although not a jacket, I bought a pair of bib shorts off them, very well made, and comfortable after a couple of hours in the saddle, (that’s the longest I’ve rode in them up to now)
Their fit on the size chart is right as well

I think I have heard them mentioned before, pretty sure someone on here bought some of their kit, maybe @itboffin ?

Might be worth considering where they are based, as I saw a mention on the site of a 5 euro discount on your first order, so if they are based in Europe, you are likely to get hit with customs charges, plus an admin fee, and returns might be super awkward as well.

If it's China or US, then as you were.

EDIT: Looks like Spain to me.

  • I bought a top off them last year. This one:

    https://www.bandofclimbers.com/collections/mens-jerseys-and-gilets/products/summit-jersey-black

It's a nice jersey, although I think the neckline could be a bit better/ lower profile more like the Rapha Pro Team jerseys. Bought it primarily for the colour and lightweight material. First one I bought was a bit too big so exchanged. At the time, they didn't offer free returns- not sure if they do now, but that annoyed me a bit.

Don't like the name at all...

  • Might be worth mentioning Donda here https://www.dondacycling.com/

I got a jersey and bib shorts in a recent sale - haven't worn on the bike yet (awaiting better weather and return from a collarbone break) but the service was excellent and the fit is good. Seems decent quality based on the material but time will tell. Very nicely packaged in a musette too.
