Plans have been approved for turing the Champs Elysées into a garden - where will the tour finish in the future?

    I'd really like to see them vary it a bit. I get that it's tradition and seen as showcasing Paris. I don't think it showcases cycling well though. A lot of casual cycling fans may only watch TDF and the final stage. There is no suspense or intrigue though. The champ is just sauntering round taking in the plaudits. Not a fan :-)

    The FA cup final is usually as dull as censored as a game (unless you actually follow one of the finalists), millions still watch it.

    You're not wrong. The football analogy stands that the most excitement tends to come at the penultimate point (semi's).
