Fulgaz on a PC

Any Fulgaz users on a PC? Does it run as it should?

Just installed Fulgaz on my old PC that I successfully run Zwift on. I just can't get it to run properly in a ride no matter what connection method I use. I have connected my Kickr using Ant+ and Bluetooth but the problem I have is that on hills I slow down but the resistance on the Kickr doesn't change so that I get no feeling I am on a hill. I can increase my speed by changing to a higher gear and then maintain the same speed I was on the flat. This sounds like I don't know what I am talking about but the feeling is completely unnatural and not something I experience on Zwift.

The other odd thing is that if I use Ant+ for say a cadence sensor after a while the Bluetooth connection will completely turn off.

Fulgaz runs as it should on my iPad but I was hoping for the big screen experience on a PC monitor.

There is a group on FB that will be able to help.
I use an ATV so can’t help with PC stuff.
Running in Steady mode instead of Reactive?
There is an option in settings for turning separate power options on/off which appears to be a common thing.
Can you hard wire your iPad to TV?
Lastly there is a new beta version which is supposed to address all these issues.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I’m running it on a 17” laptop ok (Dell, i7). The settings can be (to me at least) a bit confusing - my Elite Direto appears 2 or 3 times in the list of sensors for different reasons. And of course the “training” rides (like FTP) run in “steady” mode even if “reactive” is set. Whatever, I eventually got it running ok with hill resistance and speed reacting as it should. I do have to download the rides though, streaming just won’t work, even though Zwift and BigRingVR run just fine.

Thanks for the replies, maybe Fulgaz is just too demanding for the PC I am running it on.
PB - I've checked that I am in Reactive mode and played with the separate power options. Don't think the Beta version is available anymore.
rafletcher - I'd forgotten about BigRingVR, I'll give it a go.

The latest beta version was only released this week with anticipation of being fully rolled out next week.

Just nipped down to the shed, and my FulGaz is updated to V4. I wasn’t a beta tester, but am a (recent) subscriber. Not tried it yet though, it’s a pain having to download the rides before I can use them in this cold weather (the shed’s unheated brrrrrr) I have a fast-ish internet connection (67Mb) but I’m running over a mesh WiFi cos I got fed up with the powerline adaptors, so that’ll slow things down cf Ethernet. They do explain on their website why streaming can be an issue though, and downloads are fast.

I tried BigRingVR, and Rouvy too. Rouvy I had issues with the AR version, and although I could get it to run by downdating to an earlier version, I didn’t like the fact their support couldn’t explain why a system that exceeded their minimum spec by some margin wouldn’t run it. I’ve a years subscription to BigRingVR and to FulGaz, so perhaps I’ll try again next year.
