    Back to WFH today.

Need to go out for a run later, and still need to buy some new running shoes but bargains seem to be scarce

Hound escorted round the village for her daily poop. Scooped an donked in the poo bin.
Bit glum today at home and in the virtual office in the cloud thats being blown steadily away somewhere, new Lockdown though technically is no different to tier 4 its still unpleasant.
Still show must go on as they say. Trying to shop for a bandsaw but none I want are in stock at the minute which is very annoying.

Bambini have just started waking up to another day of absolutely nothing to do. Tbh, they are going up the wall - all they want is school/see friends/be able to do something.

  • Nin'all slackers. Just dragged myself out of bed, pests fed and watered, Mrs DHL finally down from the Royal suite. Some video tutorials to do but most stuff from materials lab recorded yesterday and data collected.kids start remote learning at some point but plenty of jobs for them to do. Its not raining so they could mow the lawn, wash the car, clear out the gutters, render the side of the house, fix the electrical fault on the car.

Late start, walked dog on deserted beach.

Ride out this afternoon, kinda spoiled by tyre going flat for no good reason (stupid tubeless systems), but was still worthwhile... Stopped to admire the view from clifftop lookout spot.

    Morning folks,
WFH today as my boss decided to go in to the office. I should be able to spend less time there now as the new system negates some of the stuff I had to go in for, still have to go in to help with a few things others are incapable of. New system still not quite right so there's a bit of thumb twiddling going on which is frustrating. I know what needs to be done but have to wait for the background information to be put right. Might go for a run but suffering a bout of cba. I bought running shoes in the summer unfortunately so don't have that excuse. There's a good running shop in Teddington Seano, they even have treadmills set up with video cameras. They claim it's so they can analyse your gait and advise which shoes would be best suited. I think it's so they can stick funny videos on YouTube or send them in to YBF for £200.

    Afternoon people,

Day 1 of lockdown 3 - the not so fast and the slightly furious. Mostly torturing numbers and inventing budgets at the moment. May pop out later for a trip to Tesco's and/or a run.

Bike needs a full service, weird noises going on and CBA to do it myself. Gives local bike shop a try, nice guy, Chinese I think.

Me: “You strip bike down, full service, chop chop.”

    Him “Nods, yes yes.”

A month later after vanishing act and shop being closed I track the bugger down.

Him “Sorry sorry, cat died. Change cables, work good now.”

Bike does not work good now.

Me sad with bikes in general.

  • Happy New Tiers day everyone!

Sat in work doing worky stuff which cannot be done from home. Might try it for a while though as going out into the works makes me cold and I miss my fires at home.

Went and bought a M5 bolt for the Soloist seat post.

And that, really, is about the highlight of it all.

Don’t rope MF into crazy Zoooooom calls. he had to turn one down today where he was expected to wear a shirt, tie and blazer and eat his dinner on it.

Is there not some filter in zoom that can superimpose all that stuff?

I actually don’t want any part of it tbh. Each year at this time we have a formal evening to celebrate some battle somewhere which I tolerate going to because it’s free booze and I can just walk out after dessert and no one will notice, but due to the plague they want to do it by zoooooooom this year.

    Not a fcknigu chance.

Best thing with zoom is the ability to smash it with a hammer, set fire to it and throw it into next door’s garden.

    Unfortunately it’s kosher - it’s utterly ridiculous.

I can see why they are doing it - we have a new boss, maintain moral, continue tradition, etc etc but tbf, a)i’m Zoooooooomed out, b)I don’t like social events c)i’m Not dressing like a ttwa in my own house d)I don’t want to.

on a brighter note, MF has sold that turbo trainer and reinvested in some Prime ali aero 'bars for the Soloist.

He has the carbon Primaveras on the S3 and they are very good so hopefully at £45 odd these will rock.

We had a team catch up for an hour, everyone drinking and a "pub quiz". Was quite fun. Small team though.

MF likes you. You seem tranquillo.

But, tbh, that sounds utterly totally fcukign awful. The worst elements of life rolled into one.
