Hello !

What is the logic behind bicycle manufacturers suggesting riders measure their height without wearing shoes when shoes will be worn while cycling ?

Thanks in advance -

And here’s to wishing everyone the BEST for 2021 !!

Maybe because your height is your height and different shoes will give you different heights?

Some people may ride in flip flops, some in sandals, some in road bicycle shoes, some in work leather shoes, some in chukka boots, some barefoot, some in wellingtons, some in mountain bicycle shoes, some in high heels, some in platforms, some in socks, some in running trainer shoes, some in a Converse style casual sneaker, some in kitten heels, some in Adidas Gazelles or similar, some in Ugg boots, some in a working boot or a hiking boot or a military boot or welding boot or a galosh, some in FMBs, some in school shoes, maybe a traditional flat soled desert boot with a crepe sole.

    The possibilities are bountiful.

It's all about fixed variables innit geezer.
