Copyright aside I think the idea of tank tracks on a car was a good one. But
as Hammond said, the small wheels inside the tracks get broken off over bumps. But most countries militaries manage to get it to work, including the ones that win. So I still think there is something in it. Might not be very efficient.

Real lift ones are also more heavy duty and don't look like toys like Hammond's did.
I thought the caterham worked surprisingly well given it was almost completely submerged inside and out at every puddle.
