Planet X carbon frame - is this a crack?

Hi
I'm looking at buying a used Planet X carbon frame on ebay.
The vendor says it's in good condition. It's too far away to view myself (we're also in lockdown) however I can see a strange line by the head tube -

When I asked the vendor about it this was his reply.

"There are no cracks or splits in the frame, the line you can see is not a crack, the paint job on this model is translucent (apart from yellow and red) so you can partly see the carbon underneath, so this is just the carbon frame which normally would be invisible on other paint jobs."

Could anyone else who has a similar Planet X frame give their opinion on it

    It's where the frame is glued together. I have the same all over my Boardman bike.

    What does it feel like when your run your finger over the outside?

    Can't view the frame in person because of distance/lockdown but will ask the vendor. Kinda hoping there was a simple explanation - but can't see the joins anywhere else....

    Looks like as SB says - MF's mate has them all over his stripped back to carbon Madone.

    Why don't you drop P/X a line and they can advise?

    Difficult to tell from the pictures.

    If it were me though, it would be enough to put me off and I would walk away.

    Just to round off this thread - I heard back from Planet X who confirmed it is a glued joint (ie supposed to look like that)

    Big tubs of Aqueous Cream can be bought from the pharmacist for a quid and will basically do the same job as fancy moisturiser.

    Just don't wash your face with soap your body produces natural oils and no it's not a crack in the frame.
