I donโ€™t own a wool sweater. I have a Patagucci fleece or two, plus half dozen other fleeces.

Kirklands merino wool from Costco. Labels, meh.
It was for in office when the A/C got out of control, not WFH.

I go with a bit of fat and communal heating, but that is probably at odds with all my pro renewables posting, so is a bit hypercritical.

Ive been inspired by a Yak Wool and an Alpaca wool sweater i saw while wasting time looking at Outside Magazine...

Trouble is they re both American and both $$$$$ ๐Ÿ˜ฒ, so Ive accepted I'll have to stick to sheep

Just get the wool for the other half and encourage to take up knitting. Preferably a cardigan like Starsky used to wear in Starsky and Hutch....

Wonโ€™t get many cashmere jumpers under ยฃ100 and itโ€™s not bad quality. Big range of colours.

They do a cheaper lambswool too.

Classic organic do a bunch of nice sustainable jumpers of cotton and wool.

Else try only & sons, they do some nice zipped and non-zipped structure jumpers

Arlen do really nice double faced jumpers for ยฃ65 they look comfy

Honestly threads the website isnโ€™t bad for this stuff.

Good for just getting across more shops for what you want
  • John Smedley cashmere blend.
F'ing expensive, but oh so nice.

Luckily the factory is just down the road and they have a factory shop, so I like to take advantage once or twice a year.

A ribbed Hugo Boss number that I paid a fortune for... about 15years ago. Still looks brand new.

Yep, I had the same issue with a couple I had.
  • I like cable knit in which case M&S and John Lewis do nice ones. Occassionaly places like Crew have something good, or Ralph Lauren (not the ultra heavy fisherman ones!)

Hey that's a cool website! All the good bits of stitch fix but without the auto-ordering (though I suspect the point of stitch fix is to push past the male unwillingness to experiment with clothes)

Ive picked up a nifty dark red Rip Curl one from the inevitable-in-cornwall surf shop sale.

I may ask Father Christmas for a swankier one though if the season life leaves me

Is this like one of those questions contestants used to ask on Blind Date?

If you were a type of cheese, what type would you be and why?

Ddraver, are you on the market or something?

I'm eternally on the market.... ๐Ÿ™„

No,its more a realisation that living in "outdoor wear" and Chamonix Suits (Gore-Tex) aren't so appropriate out side of a ski resort...(and it's cold)

This is what I'd really like but...the price!!

I have one of their early down jackets. Still excellent 15 years later although the elastic went in the draw cord.
