    Morning, much colder today in that northerly wind , the moons nice and bright this morning, porridge for breakfast , coffee, read of the newspaper, out on the bike.

    Cold out with hounds this morning, offset by bacon sandwich made by the current wife.

    Work stuff and then running with youngest rugrat then cycling with a pal. Though I imagine rugrat maybe too tired after school 🙄

    Driest and sunniest forecast day of the week. 👍
    What's this? Email that package expected on Thursday, the wettest forecast day of the week, has been despatched early and due for delivery today. Ah ok, better check timeslot and schedule fine weather bike ride appropriately. Log on to 'track your parcel', only 'out for delivery', no n hours window specified. 👎 FFS, could end up hanging about all day waiting. And it's not even a bike bit.

    Edit. A second email now that delivery 1020-1120. 👍 I rescind the curses.

    Morning, tad cooler today and nice and bright out, sadly WFW. SB you should be a luddite and stick with mechanical, easier to sort.

    Out early again to practice taking scenic photos of bike.


    Forecast said it was 7 degrees but I'm glad I went back in for the thicker gloves as it was frosty on the way back. 2 degrees outside now apparently.
    Bike's in an absolute state for some reason: it's fairly clean but the pedals don't spin freely. BB bearings seem ok. Worn out drivetrain?

    Chilly ride in, not sure my legs got warmed up for a good 5 miles. Now have coffee and pork pie to sustain me. Office semi deserted as usual so am spreading out on a couple of desks with a decent view :)

    Well, he could try lubricating parts but not in the 3 in 1 oil Luddite fashion.

    @shirley_basso: find a gear you like and pull the cable... hang on.
    Scrub that. Remove rear mech, shorten chain. Sorted.

    You'll be very old and very wrinkly in 10x years to come SG.

    Where the bloody hell is that faux mod @seanoconn ?
    Kind of pi$$ed off @seanoconn turning uo here for 2 minutes, chucking his weight around and then disappearing.



    If only I had got out the SLR instead of the ciompact ^.
    Stunning red sky. No point seen as @seanoconn can't be bothered to make an appearance.

    Much run around to do today.

    Hah, household appliance delivered on schedule, quick check over, only couple of holding screws missing, tested and working well.

    Right, sun is out. Bike is about to feel the rays. Wrap up and git oot there. Day is working out ok so far...

    Meh. Jour sans today, big time. Slept badly, woke late to watch the day deteriorate into a windy, showery mess.

    Managed some minor bike fettling and other mundane tasks.

    I don't think @seanoconn sends email alerts any more. Probably because @Matthewfalle set fire to the server that kept sending him alerts and chucked it over the fence.

    We can only try to fill up @seanoconn 's mail box.
    In the slim chance @seanoconn is getting updates, then @seanoconn won't miss this.

    Maybe the right bits haven't been lubed.

    Much work also managed to get some time off so doing lots of random censored an not actually relaxing.

    Afternoon folks,
    A day that started with wfh but is now wfw, nice ride through the park though but unfortunately still on the old man bike. Got out the park and some old dear was lying in the road having been knocked off her bike. I stopped to see if I could help but there were a few people there already, one of the local shopkeepers was wrapping her in a blanket and she said she was ok so no point me staying. The dozy bint that knocked her off was sat in her car bawling. The tart that knocked my Mrs off was bawling too, if they looked where they were f'ing going they wouldn't be in that position. I left before I shouted at dozy bint.

    They do. Slightly older and more broken than before but yes, they are all still there.
