Fortunately it didn’t go in a big bang way, more a sort extended crunching way. I was five minutes ride from home. So it was a case of do I fix it and get covered in super lube and the rest or bung it in the hedge and walk home.

I sincerely hope you didn’t do the latter
    why?

    May it Rust in peace.

I quite like my conversion to Squirt wax from Muc-off, despite the recent wet rides, all I have done is wipe and re-lube straight away.
Which is what you should do with any Lubricant really.

I am going to take the plunge with Molten speed wax though and maybe 'top up' with the squirt wax.

    yes, really.

if he can't be bothered to walk it home and its safe to lob it in a hedge until he can come back to it, then why not?

    Seems plausible to us.

Have you never hidden anything in hedge to pick up later/leave for someone else?

    Sod off.

My SKS longs became un attached and the rear jammed under the back wheel down a hill in late November in twenty eleventy five.
I lobbed them in a ditch, down a banking to collect later.
    About a week later.

Then had the notion to retrieve them and rivet the f*ckers together. Works.

I got a puncture in my LT35 on the A338 from Salisbury to Bournemouth back in the early 1990's and needed to chock beneath the chassis to change the wheel. While rummaging in the hedge and ditch looking for suitable materials I found a bicycle, sturmey archer 3sp but serviceable and got me to work and back for a few weeks until the chain snapped.... a bit rusty.

Which lube would be best as an anti COVID vaccination. I think one of the thinner ones like Rock and Roll Gold might be better than Squirt. Would they need to be refrigerated first.

That pink Muc Off bike cleaner would be ideal. Trump is getting through pints of the stuff.

What about the cheap orange copy of that. Would you inject it, drink it or have a bath in it.

    C19 trumps C3.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Useless for Covid but does give the skin a lovely ochre hue. Makes one appear healthy and powerful.

Thers's a Spanish variety of 'WD40' that's pink - I got quite a shock when I sprayed it onto a journalists HT leads at the time. Can't remember what it's actually called now
