Agreed. In the flesh those tube shapes and the quality of the finish and lugs are stunning.

I'm liking the simple colour scheme. Might actually be improved when the tan walls get dirty. ๐Ÿคฃ I guess that it really does have to be seen in the metal though. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Looks really fun to ride.

I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on how the ride compares to the C60.

I have not ridden it yet but compared to my master which is basically the same bike it is so smooth to ride, steel is amazing and i would prefer to ride steel than my carbon bikes which are a bit more harsh to ride.

Nice to know. I've wondered if I was missing out on something.
I'll save my money for cycling holidays when we can instead.

A contrary view for you to consider.
Black tape & saddle highlights the frame. For example...

I think it looks nice either way although the white is a pain to keep clean.

Constant cleaning/replacing is what made me switch to black but I'm glad I did.

OP that is a nice bike you have built, can I ask what is going on with the stem, is it a oversize 1.25 as it appears to overhang the stem spacers, fourth photo down, and looks out of proportion in relation to the frames tubing IMO.
  • pblakeney
    pblakeney Posts: 27,380
That's the problem with 1" tubing. Impossible to find a 1" Ahead stem so you have to use a 1-1/8". All ears if anyone knows different. It looks better if slammed though. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yes itโ€™s oversized. I have fitted a slimmer stem.

Oh understand now, I did not realise that the head tube was a 1" headset standard, the slimmer stem looks alot nicer.

    Same-ish for me.
The hubs are lush but not light and the forks alone are 750g IIRC. You won't care! ๐Ÿ˜‰
