Hi!
I'm thinking of changing the drive train on my bike from 3x10 to 1x12.
Currently its 22/30/40 with 11-36 cassette.
It has dtswiss spline 2 rear wheel (142mm) which can have its free hub adapter swapped to a microspline one so saving having to change the wheel..
The current FC-M782 crank/chain rings:
chainline: 50mm
q factor: 175mm
The new 1x12 crank/chain ring:
FC-M8100-1: chainline: 52 / q factor: 172
or
FC-M8130-1: chainline: 56.5 / q factor: 181
or
FC-M8120-1: chainline: 55 / q factor: 178
Not sure if the FC-M8100-1 would be best for a 142mm rear?
Would I need spacers on the crank to adjust the chain line, would it shift ok with 3mm difference? Does the q-factor make much difference?
I'm not sure on all this chain line/q-factor stuff!
I presume FC-M8120-1 / FC-M8130-1 are for 148 / 157 rears?
Anything else to consider?
Cheers!
