Cant get new tyre to seat

Hi all,
I have been running tubeless for months now with no issues.
Minion DHF on the front, and Minion SS on the rear. I have got a new DHR II for the rear because the SS is now too slippy in the mud.
But i can't get it to seat at all. When I fitted the SS, it didn't seat first time but removing the valve core worked. This time I've tried everything and the tyre just won't seat, or come anywhere close to seating.
I dont have a compressor but if I take it to the local petrol station, their car tyre inflators will be for schrader valves wont they, so won't fit my presta valve at all?
Its frustrating because the previous tyres were fine. Ive now got a tube in trying to get it to seat - thing is I don't get a pop on my tyres at all to indicate they have seated (I didn't before either) - should I?
Any ideas appreciated or Im going to be stuck riding with a tube again?

I put a luggage strap around the tire, not too tight! soap the beads and use my converted garden sprayer to blast it with the valve out and it works very well. Just fitted a Spesialized Eliminater 2Bliss at first attempt .0

inner tube helped I think - its seated now but there is a massive leak around the valve hole somewhere. sealant should fix it but I just think these rims are not really tubeless ready.
The bead does not lock in to the rim at all. When I removed the inner tube, the bead on the other side was just loose as well.0
