Ayup, every day seems to be morphing into the next. Another night with too little sleep, but hoping to finish mid-afternoon, to bag a few hours out riding later.

    We'll see.

Rest day thank god, and therefore no grumpy calls from the wife saying “I thought you were only going out for 4 hrs” 😂

Work stuff and look after kids later as the wife is finally taking her mother home 😎

wfh. also little sleep, as wife was thrashing about like she had st vitus dance.

bought a backgammon set yesterday, as i like a game. trying to teach mini and Mrs H3. much stroppiness from both, especially Mrs H3, who was gammoned twice, and backgammoned once...

WFH today, have some Brexity stuff to deal with but nothing too 'taxing'. Stropteen nearly out of lockdown in uni so she'll be able to join the Liverpool lockdown with the rest of the City this week. At least she'll be able to go and dissect a few frogs.

May have the rest of last night's Indian take away for lunch.

I never did understand what the joy in Backgammon is.
Taught by my sister but much preferred the fun alternative 'Acey Deucy'.

Spent the whole of yesterday putting the mower back together after some bits were welded by a welder bloke using a welder.

Missed Flanders as a result and watched some of the repeat of the Giro stage on Eurosport. So I have Flanders to watch too and that means not logging in to BR in case of a spoiler until then.

Toots are off for another week and rain means indoor shenanigans - some contrived, some as a side effect, some accidental, some for the hell of it.

Can't work out whether or not that's a euphemism.

Woke up with a bad back, hopefully joining the work yoga class later to try and stretch it out a bit.

Last night's hacked together timelapse camera still seems to be working. Just need to get my Pi to convert the picture of the meter into a meter reading then I can forget about getting the ladders out to read the electric meter.

Trying to do some WFH in the meantime.

A big transit van drives past here multiple times a day, no idea who it is or why they are driving down the narrow alley between the houses at speed. Anyway he's just driven past, slowly with a load of gaffer tape over the back corner of the van where he's clouted something.

  • WFH for a change, picked up some logs on the way home from the gym, spoke to the tree surgeons and I'm going back down in a bit to get some more.

Probably going to get a ride in after lunch later.

Early start on taxi duties while O/H had cataract removed from other eye. Home and fired up the mower, which had new blades and a bit of a service the other day. Made short work of long grass.

Ride for a bit of fresh air and exercise.

A long and hard work day, sore and stiff now. Just opened a beer (on a Monday 😳). Work for clients where he is now wheelchair-bound due to Parkinson's effects plus was hospitalised back in spring with C19, survived and recovering slowly, which is good, he is a good person. She does as much garden work as she can, but they need me now and again for the heavy lifting, and xxxx it felt heavy today. Might feel sh4gged out physically but feel uplifted mentally to help out good people. For a price, of course.

The OH hates the new Tesla I've just bought.
She'd be all over something like that.

As I recall they struggled to sell them at the time as quite a few people were upset and cancelled orders because they were fitted with a twin turbo V6 rather than the anticipated V12. A very effective V6 though as proven. I should think they are worth as much now regardless of the engine fitted.
