Thoughts and ramblings and the implications of running GT's at this time of year.
First up: A short 15km course with a hill, fast descent, some madmen doing in excess of 55kph - average. Surprised more people didn't crash but that's not necessarily weather related. Why the very severe bends too?
Next: Damp roads and wet leaves on the mountain stages. Spring can throw a snow bound stage or some very wet weather but we have leaves in this Autumnal mix. Chuck in some potentially windy conditions...

In the Giro it is the Maglia Nera, the black jersey, which was genuinely awarded between 1946-1951. The final wearer was Giovanni Pinarello - the founder of the bike company.
