I have reserved one of these for accessorising before buying and gave it a spin today. It's a nice ride but the brakes need some extra squeezing and there is oddly little clearance below the front fork. Also the Deore shift is loud and I seem to feel it through the saddle though perhaps that is because of lack of lube. I don't now if these are bad warning signs. Has anyone been riding this model and would like to comment on it?

I seem to feel it through the saddle... That is probably an exaggeration. But I was surprised how much louder it is than the bottom of the range Shimao grip shifting 3x7 gears on my £180 Ammoco Crosstrail new in April.
