My Enigma Extensor (Columbus XCR) is a smidgeon over 7.4kg with 33mm clinchers, pedals, crank based PM, bottle cages, computer mount etc.
So yeah, steel needn't be heavy. Steel frame over carbon probably adds about the same weight as having disk brakes (I don't have).
It's a pretty firm ride though, so not your stereotypical steel feel.0 -
