I’m impressed, it’s about 7.4kg outbid the box and I’m in no rush to upgrade anything

... yeah, you always say that... how much did you pay if I am allowed to ask? I've seen somewhere advertised at £1700, which seems a total stealleft the forum March 20230

Very nice! Still got the domane too?0

I got it C2W for £1700 from Sigma, as you say, it's a steal, it's not even worth upgrading the wheels. It's pretty much perfect.ugo.santalucia said:... yeah, you always say that... how much did you pay if I am allowed to ask? I've seen somewhere advertised at £1700, which seems a total steal
Yep! They go well with each other. The Domane is a bit heavier though!johngti said:Very nice! Still got the domane too?

Looks like my size... what is it 54?
I'm just pre-booking it... *
*What happened to the Supersix?left the forum March 20230 -
Haven't had that in ages!!!!!!!!! And yes, it's a 54. I even like the brakes, Bontrager ones, they look nice and, for me, seem to work as well as Shimano ones.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

I have an SL6 and I love it! I have a higher spec (700 series carbon) Madone and it pains me to say, I think I prefer the SL6..
I have put some Aeolus XXX6 wheels on mine for racing. It looks the bollox!
I have looked at the '21 range of Emondas, and unless Im mistaken, the '21 SL6 (disc) is heavier than the '20 ALR 5 (disc)
I couldn't believe it!0 -
Yes. I prefer it to the Madone. And nothing compares to how light it is. Unless you get up to the 6k SlrMy blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

What are the real world comparisons to your Tarmac?“Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring”

My apologies if I have you mixed up with another poster, did you have an S works Tarmac? If so I was wondering how your new bike compares?“Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. No, a Domane I am afraid. So quite different to compare.slowmart said:My apologies if I have you mixed up with another poster, did you have an S works Tarmac? If so I was wondering how your new bike compares?
That said, I will revist the above a little, they are different bikes for different days. The Domane is, as I've said elsewhere, supernatural. It's only when you ride the same surface back to back that you realise just how much it takes out of it. And it's very very fast. The Emonda is not as comfy, but not uncomfortable. It's just extremely well sorted and fast in a different way. Oddly, downhill (different tyres so need to sort out a fair comparison), the Emonda is a bit quicker.
