Strava feed
I'm happy to see their activities, but I can't give a monkey about the charity things they join and the personal goals they have set for themselves... and some folks seem to do only that... any idea?

I routinely get rid of people who never reciprocate kudos or only do uninteresting things, or feel the need to share their half a mile walk to the shop... maybe I should add the "serial joiners" to the list.oxoman said:Not sure but I think the only way currently available is to stop following them.

especially people who routinely do 800km+ a month signing up to do a 100km 'challenge'0

Maybe they just weren't all that impressed?0

I wouldn't bother asking Strava to fix this. They don't respond to raised requests. They have their own agenda and aren't interested in fixing things that either don't work or aren't their view on how their "social media" platform should work.“You may think that; I couldn’t possibly comment!”

I don't follow anyone, so I don't get this 'problem'.
116 people find it necessary to follow me, but I don't give them this problem as I don't do the challenges, because these days they suck.
Back in the day there were some that were actually challenging, such as the legendary Specialised Climbing Challenge of 2012.0 -
I agree... most of them are ludicrous, the only one that is still a challenge is the Rapha 500, at least in the Northern hemispherejoe2019 said:

Yep, that is the only one I do, Rapha Rising was good too, I managed to 'win' that one in 2012 and 2013ugo.santalucia said:

you want Sauce for Strava, its a Chrome add in so only works on Chrome browser but better than nowt https://saucellc.io/ugo.santalucia said:I looked in all the settings, but I can't find a way to get rid of notifications of folks joining challenges in the feed.

You are sooooooo right dabber. Why do they need to put a list of 'Suggested Friends' up as well, bloody annoying!0

Would be decent if the "challenges" changed in line with your performance. Clearly, however, most of the challenges are advertising tools which will be where Strava makes a lot of money. It is a business after all.Giant TCR Adv Pro Disc 0 2021

Also a question I saw raised several years ago, but now I'm paying, hoping there is a way to get rid of virtual sufferfest/strava etc from my feed.
Obviously has fitness benefits, but it's just dull. I like to see interesting routes others have done, not a stationary workout.0 -
Strava's works optimally as "social media" if (a) you don't follow anyone else and (b) you relinquish your ego and don't permit anyone else to follow you.

Does this only work if you pay the $2 per month on top of the strava subscription? Not sure removal of zwift rides is worth it...rj2013 said:
