Morning, not sure what to do today, wind and rain at the moment, I’m pleased the tdf is on tv
Have a good weekend0 -
Dylan or Hendrix?
Canoeing with mini this morning, then who knows what lazing will follow.0 -
Walk hounds then long run.
Then pick up a camper van for the weekend 😎0 -
strolled into town for cafe break, i noted that..
a pussycat did prowl
two pan con tomate
and the wind began to howl, heymy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny1 -
Morning
No poetry here, just windy.
Sun's out which means I can take my bike for a test ride on some potholes without it getting too dirty.0 -
Away working but cancelled for today so a ride instead. Turned out quite nice along the coast here

So let us stop talking falsely now
The hour is getting late and need to get my act together, get out on that ride. To be followed by couch surfing catch up on La Course and stage 1.
Still grey and blustery here, bank holiday weather indeed.0 -
Morning folks,
Traditional slow start was enjoyed. Tea has been drunk and now the coffee is on. Need to go and see the old dear at some point. Went mad and bought some shoes for running in yesterday, got absolutely soaked walking there so they gave me some socks. Apparently even if I have reasonable fitness couch to 5k type program is good to get the legs used to running without getting some sort of injury.0 -

How about swimming?

Tried that on holiday, fookin' painful. Swimming with one arm and both legs wasn't great. I'd be a rubbish Paralympianpinno said:

Took a speedboat into the next village for lunch under a χαρούπι. I noted nothing more poetic than fresh καλαμάρι, τζατζίκι and a dog having a snooze under the next table.
Roasting here now that the wind has dropped. Approaching incendio.

Very late start - got woken up the the DPD delivery bloke knocking on the door just after 10, so only just down the local bacon sarni emporium chilling out.
May run later, suppose I should try to get fit in my week off."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
The wind did indeed begin to howl. This is August. I had on a thermal long sleeve top and was still cold. Bleepin' cold north wind. Lot of gravel wash on the backroads after yesterday's deluges. Good ride though.
Stage 1 TdF looks 'interesting'.0 -
Dinner by the beach. Moon very moony, sea very molten silver. Life is good. Shame it's back home Tuesday.

When you start off it's too easy to go fast and hurt yourself.
Couch to 5k type things are good for getting used to running: it's just intervals which get tougher each week.0 -
Sleepier maybe, slower not for me: knocked 50s off my PB today.pinno said:
Slower unfortunately. And sleepier.thistle_(mbnw) said:

Never had it before but hoping it will make me faster.
Can't swallow the things whole though, have to break them in half0 -
After the first time it's not a problem for a while again
Maybe they should rename it not for gorillas tape.0 -
Ooo me t1ts. What a thought.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0

At the end of the Snowdonia marathon last year I saw a guy with a white running top with two streaks of blood all of the way down from his moobs 😳thistle_(mbnw) said:

Oh and beware joggers nipple.

Corn plasters should do the trick.0

Bad news if you've got moobs...best go running and get rid of them?"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

If you sweat as much as I do then the weather doesn't make much of a differenceoxoman said:Did a couple of half marathons in the dry and no problems, did a sprint duathlon in the rain and I was red raw and bleeding. Better prepared after that as don't ever want a repeat performance.
