Noticed a loose spoke on my 2013 Mavic Aksiums.
Old wheel but a few miles in them yet.
Never replaced a spoke so decided I would give it a go.
Ordered one , to long , ordered another which was supposed to be a few mill shorter.
Both to long , not by much maybee 3- 4 mill .
What is going on ?
Does any one have any ideas
regards

Likely hub and rim design have changed over the years... plus now there are Aksium disc, which have different patterns and lengths... it's a bit of a minefield to find the right one for your vintage.
Aksium use fairly standard straight pull spokes, so if you know the length you need, you might be able to order one from a Spokes retailer like "Ryan Spokes"left the forum March 20230 -
Many thanks for your reply.
Daft question but how do you measure a spoke ?0 -
The length is from the end of the thread to the beginning of the flared section of the head. So place the Spoke over a table with the head just against the side of the table. Measure the distance from the edge of the table to the edge of the spoke, that's your lengthleft the forum March 20230
