Yes.. Another Newbie "Help me pick a bike" Post !

Hello all!

I am new to MTB - interested in buying a hardtail for use on forest trails - nothing too mad but definitely off tarmac.

Budget is around £500

So far have looked at -

1. Vodoo Bantu
   
2. Vitus Nucleus
   
3. Calibre two cubed
   
4. Rockrider ST520
   

Is their a clear winner ?? Vitus and Calibre are currently out of stock but would be willing to hang on if either was a better choice?

Anything else (new) I should be looking at?

Squeeze the budget to £650ish and get yourself a Voodoo Bizango if your ok with a 29er? Better air forks, Sram 1x11 drivetrain and always comes top in its category.

If not the vitus nucleus 27 vrs or something in that price range, generally you will get more modern spec and geometry, air forks and a 1x drivetrain.
