Post degrease relube?

My usual method is to drip lube onto every roller while back pedalling cranks, leave to soak in for a couple of hours then wipe off as much excess as possible.

Should I shift into each gear to transfer some lube back onto the cassette teeth after lubing or leave the cogs dry as not too attract more dirt on my next ride?

You don't need lube on the teeth of the cogs. The lube is only needed on the chain.

You don;t even need lube on the outside of the chain, which is why the standard advice is to wipe it off.

Always drip lube onto the rollers to get it inside only so following the advice I lubed while back pedalling on big cog then wiped off all excess from the cog, chain, chainring and even the jockey wheels, should keep it clean as possible and less grime build up. All set to get it all filthy again today! 🤣 Thank you for the advice thistle_(mbnw) & steve_sordy. 👍👍
