Left Hand Threaded BB Lock Ring

I'm trying to find a bottom bracket cup lock ring with a left hand thread (24 tpi) as a replacement for the one I badly damaged removing with a chisel. I bought a lock ring which was advertised as being suitable for most standard bottom brackets. The problem was it had a right hand thread and will only fit on the non drive side cup. I've phoned a couple of local bike shops in the UK; but they can't help and I've tried searching online but no luck. Can anyone help?
