Helmet/Bike Cam

After a couple of recent altercations with impatient motorists who have tried to run me off the road I am thinking of getting one of these for my helmet and possibly another, rear facing one.
Any suggestions please as to what works well and what doesn't? Makes? Helmet v Handlebars? An immediate observation is that none of them seem to have the required battery life for a 3 or 4 hour ride from what I can see.
Many thanks!

Michael Schumacher's condition would make me wary of a helmet cam.
Unless these stories have been debunked. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.1 -
Also, meant to add guys that I don't want to spend a fortune on this and I'd view this as a consumable, almost like a tyre. HD 1080P is fine so £50-70 tops. Forget the GoPro and all that stuff - these things *will* get wet and *will* eventually go wrong so I wouldn't want a ton of money tied up in it.0

Wow, no one uses helmet/bike cams guys? Maybe I am off-piste in my thinking then in my thoughts of getting one.0

Not sure why you would consider these as consumables "like a tyre". My Cycliq fly 6 and 12 (early models) have lasted for years. Using both with the flashing lights running, the rear lasts 4-5 hrs and the front longer (probably 6-7 hrs). Both run for longer with lights off, a bit more than £50-70 but maybe that's the trade off for better run time. I wouldn't consider a helmet mounted option, not sure about the Michael Schumacher thing, just don't like how it looks.0

I'm looking at getting one too having been knocked off in May, I won't be on a bike for another couple of months at least I reckon. Whatever I get will have to be able to cope in low light conditions as it will be used riding to and from work in the winter.0

They all seem to eventually fail with water ingress from what I can see after a relatively short period of time. If that were a £50 camera then fair enough and I'd put that down as an acceptable part of cycling costs (i.e. a consumable). But £250 - like the Fly 12 - and fails after a year or so? That is not so good. The Amazon reviews of the Cycliqs are not good.i.bhamra said:Not sure why you would consider these as consumables "like a tyre".
