Picked this up late last week after faffing about with a direct seller brand. Definitely a blessing in disguise.

Anyway, she's stock. Added VEL Carbon bottles cages, JRC Components out front mount. The stock saddle tried to kill me through my own anus so I've stuck my old, heavy, ugly saddle on. Got a Fizik Antares in the post. Ive assumed that the Giant Variant carbon seat post can accommodate carbon rails. Lots of headset spacers as you can see, waiting for the Retul fitting that came with the purchase once the government says aye, but feels good as is.

Managed 2 pesky KOMs that have been evading me on its first outing. All good!

you did such a good job aligning the valves and crank arm but forgot to put it in the big ring!

Looks friggin' awesome. Want one too, and especially in that colourway.

How do you find Giant's short-nosed saddle? How wide is it by default?

I believe I measured it around 142 cm wide.

I thought I had quite a hardy gooch n arse combo going on but after the first 70 miles on that saddle I knew it had to go. Perhaps with more time, some fiddling, softening it could be decent enough but im not waiting to find out.

Cracked out a 200 mile ride today on her, yes i'm showing off.

I thought getting a racier bike would bring with it some compromises on longer distance but it was absolutely no more of a hardship than my Defy, in fact the weight and efficiency was a very good thing in the last 20 or so miles. Getting everything out of those pedal strokes was much needed.
