Hayes nine

Hi all, new to mtb, bought a kona with hayes nine brakes, finding it difficult to find them on ebay etc... Is there an uograde i can use which will fit straight onto the bike? I think my rear caliper needs replacing, tho im open to changing the whole lot. Thanks

    There is lots of info about Hayes 9 brakes on the internet. Before replacing them have you tried bleeding them and replacing the pads?

    i have Hayes 9 on my Gemini and not used the bike in years so recently i had them all serviced and got them bled they seem better but not that sharp i don't think i did get told going in that the shimano disc brakes are just as good and would be suitable.
