A good ladies vintage style bike

Hi Everyone,
A couple of years back my girlfriend bought Pendleton bike from Halfords and while it looks very pretty it is the most horrendous lump of pig iron to deal with when riding. It weighs about 17kg and has a paltry 7 gears so is impossible to get up a hill.
Is there a vintage style bike with a better groupset or even just a vintage style frame we could at least get touring set on may be like a Shimano Claris?

At the low end of the market you could consider the Carrera Crossfire 2 from Halfords. Weighs abt 15kgs but does have 24 speed gears with a 28/34 lowest gear that should allow anyone to climb almost any hill that you could imagine

At £325 you're not risking a lot and it gets good reviews on the Halfords site0 -
Those vintage style bikes are always going to be more form over function. If she must have one, maybe look at getting an electric one. Otherwise a hybrid bike will be much lighter.0
