Best HT sub £700

Hi I'm a novice when it comes to mtb and want to get out more and lose some weight and as I live in rural Scotland I thought mtb would be the ideal choice

Whats the best bike for £700

I will be mainly riding trails and dirt paths but nothing extreme at this stage

I have read the reviews of the voodoo bazinga but is that still the best for my needs and the money I can spend

Thanks for your time and help

    Yes, streets ahead. (Bizango....).
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

Problem is, Bizango availability is like hen's teeth, like so many other bikes. Even at behemoth cycle shops like Halfords.
