Hi
I am looking for a new bike and I am very keen on GT but I can't decide on whether to get an Avalanche Expert or a Zaskar LT Elite (same price point)? No money for upgrades the next 18 months.
I am upgrading from a beginner bike and are looking for a bike that can follow me through the next couple of years. I like to ride tracks with a good flow with technical sections - Love "downhill" but I live in Denmark so there are no real mountains but lots of ups and downs.

The Zaskar has a much better fork and also geometry better suited to fast gravity descent, on that basis it would be the Zaskar given your stated needs/wants.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.1
