Chain slipping after installing new chain.
Changed my worn out 11 speed chain for a new KCM one today.
I've noticed when I back pedal on the biggest cog and small chainring it slips up two gears. It doesn't do this in any other gear or chainring and don't think I've noticed it before so wondering if I've done something wrong or this is normal?
I lined the two chains up before installing and attached two narrow links with a quick link.
Advice much appreciated.

It's possible that it's always happened - could be a hanger alignment "issue".
How does it actually ride?
How worn was the chain?
Have you changed the cassette as well?Ben

Shifts fine
The chain was worn to .50.
Cassette has about 2000 miles on0 -
It's probably okay then, to be honest. I'm assuming it doesn't skip under load... I would think 0.5% is in time to avoid that. Especially on a relatively new chain.Ben

It might just be the thick grease the chains are packed in- making the chain slightly stiffer. Nothing to worry about.0
