Wind's dropped, weather is OK and looks less minging this morning than it does tomorrow so I've tried to make the most of it.
WFH now, although feeling a bit ropey so probably not going to get much done.

Also can confirm wind has dropped, though looks like it'll rain soon.
Had a note though the door forestry work starts soon so means I can get the wood pile stocked up for next winter hopefully.

Also managed to pin down my useless builder whos coming next week to make good the window he fitted into the garage so it doesn't let water in constantly.

An lastly got to fix my own PC which has decided to start doing stupid things for no real reason. Keeps lobbing out directX errors along the lines I pulled out the graphics card but, if I had done that how would I be seeing the error....

Unless I am missing something - onboard graphics is built in, graphics card is optional upgrade.

Plug in card, though as I'm using an APU (CPU With built in graphics) I can default to that to run fixes.

I upgraded the R570 that was in there as it had lots of coil whine suddenly and a couple of swollen caps. Wiped the drivers with DDU then dropped in an RTX 2060. Boots fine into windows runs video content and older games, moment it hits anything with DX12 content it nopes, whacked in a -D3D11 argument to force DX11 mode to no avail.
Drivers stripped with DDU, replaced with an older set from February not installinng nVidia experience reinstalled the DXredistribute and the older DX versions.

Ran some RTX demos for raytracing, some older games and ran repairs on newer ones to make sure there were no bugs.
Old ones again faultless. Some new ones work but still getting fatal DX6068 and DX5673 errors. Only plus is now its not resetting the audio device.

Done the last idiot test remove clean contacts and re-seat the card using the other PCi-e power cord. That may have fixed it but I'll see, if not I've left it backing up my data to a second drive an I'll try a windows reset, if that fails, fresh install of windows. I reckon its a corrupt DX12 but windows decided to embed it into Windows10 so you can't just snip it out and repair it the way you can with all the other versions.

Wet and windy 2 hour ride.
Was only windy when I set out.
Absolutely soaked. Could have done with a pedalo instead of a bike.
    At least not cold.

    WTF is going on?

Not sure, I got confused after reading Step's last post.

Busy-ish but slightly unproductive day which started with sleeping through the alarm. Too many people trying to rush stuff, they need to calm down a bit.

May go for a run tonight as weather really quite OK here for now.

A few laps round pines completed and left before it got very damp. On the upside I had an excuse for riding off leaving my bro in my dust, :'( he managed to ride straight through some doggy doo which was all over his back and bike. :D . Boy did it smell.

Bit of a sh!te day for your bro :p

Missed the dog poo (I think / hope) on the 40% gravel : 60% tarmac quick blast this pm before the rain starts again. Still bleepin' windy though, been like this for days and days. I blame Priti Vacant.
