Recommend a gravel bike <£900

Am looking to get into gravel bike riding with views to doing weekend bike-packing and Audax's. I've recently got into biking and have been using an old mountain bike.

Can you recommend a gravel bike for around £800 with a max budget of £900. Happy to get a base model and upgrade parts as and when necessary. Something that can take 45mm 700c tyres.

Currently been looking at the Pinnacle Arkose D1 which is £825.

You've already picked one of the best go to budget options available.

Boardman ADV 8.9, 2021 will be out in the shops soon. GRX groupset and hydro disc brakes, not the mechanical ones of the Arkose:

If you're a British Cycling member which you should be you get 10% off at Halfords making the Boardman £900.

The existing ADV8.9 is a pretty decent bike as well but the 2021 one looks better.

Agree with joe, if you don,t mind waiting. Hydraulic brakes are worth the extra cost if you upgrade or don,t mind waiting. Biggest issue at the moment is stock levels, most bikes under £1500 are sold out or only available in small numbers or in the more unusual sizes although things are starting to improve a bit.

Like Oxoman said, biggest challenge right now is availability.
If you don't want to wait then you will need to look at what is available and buy from what you can find.

    In stock right now £900.

The 2021 Boardman adv 8.9 looks good, but won't be available for weeks.
