ROAD or GRAVEL bike for Cornwall / St Ives riding

Headed to St Ives in a couple weeks and wondering if better to take roadie or gravel bike. looking to do 2-5 hour rides
Any advise welcome.

    The one with the lower gearing, your knees will be grateful.

    If I was riding on my own, and not trying to keep up with someone faster, I'd take the gravel bike.
