Canyon Acros headset "The Clamp"
Ive got one of these useless Acros headsets on my Canyon Endurace 2014.
I have replaced the functionality by adding a traditional steerer expander bung and screw in top cap and just left the Acros unit covering the top bearings with its bearing preload screw fully turned out.
I still get a little bit of play in the headset from time to time and think it is presence of this unit contributing to it.
Where in the UK can i get a 1-1/4" bearing cover similar to the one by slamthatstem (does not necessarily have to be that low profile).
thanks!

I've just had one brought to myself with loose headset. whoever changed it over hadnt allowed for the 2-3mm gap between the top of the steerer and the spacer/stem. If its flush it can't compress so an extra 2mm of spacer or cut 2mm off the steerer0

mine does have the required gap. beginning to think i'll have to buy a new Acros headset as not finding any other options.0

found the culprit. my expander bung was not tight enough. rock solid now.0
