Colnago CX-1 down tube cable stop

Does anyone know if & where you can get the cable stop pictured below, for external cables on the CX-1? It's actually a very poor design, as there's too much tension put on the top fixing of the rather flimsy plastic bracket, so I might just leave my bodge in place. But if there's a replacement (even better would be a more robust one), it would be good to have in hand.

Agree, poor design... wouldn't know how to fix it better than your bodge. It's a fairly annoying thing, as if that part was to fail, you'd be left with not many optionsleft the forum March 20230

As a last resort you could consider one of the double stop clamp devices as offered here

Admittedly you would lose the threaded adjustment by the looks of things so maybe not ideal.

Thanks, though the shape of the downtube is rather weird, so I don't think this would work...arlowood said:As a last resort you could consider one of the double stop clamp devices as offered here

The bodge, now reinforced with another cable tie, is holding, and seems firm. I suspect it had been flexing for some time, as the gear changes had been a little approximate for a while, but I had put it down to the drive chain needing to be replaced.
I might try contacting a Colnago dealer or two too, but the CX-1 isn't one of their common models, so I might, as you say, need to live with the bodge, if it's an unavailable art. Otherwise I'd have to get something made up from scratch.0
