What's this screw for?

I got a new bike yesterday and like a wally without reading a manual I decided to try to adjust my lever reach but actually ended up losing a few drops of hydraulic fluid.

What does this screw actually do? Is it there to empty the master cylinder in the lever? It's on the inside of the shifter.

The shifter is a Sram Red AXS.

    Looks like the main lever pivot bolt.

    That’s the one below with the wrench inserted into it in the photo.

    I think I figured it out, is the bolt going into the hydraulic hose banjo hence the leak.

    Anyone know what the torque figure for the bolt is?

    Max is 6Nm on my Shimano caliper banjo fitting and judging by what I have looked up online Sram, Avid, etc. is the same.
