Hi All,
I have a MTB with SRAM x5 2x10 drivetrain. Am looking to convert this to a 1x. This is what I am thinking..
replace the 10 speed cassette with a SRAM Force PG-1230 11-50 12 SPEED Cassette and
from the existing 2x, do away with the 38t chainring and keep only the smaller 32t chainring in the front
Replace the chain accordingly.
Will this work.. Am trying to convert to a 1x in with minimum number of changes
Thanks for your inputs

I would assume the internal width of the 12speed chain will be narrower than the teeth width on your 10speed chainrings so I doubt it would be compatible. Can you not buy a new 12speed front chainring for your chainset?0
