Hi,
I need to remove the chainring/crank-arm on my Red system (DUB) to install a power meter (Sram AXS spider).
Do I need to touch the other side of the crank-set? Do I need to play with the preload adjuster?

Yes. The process is to undo the pinch bolt on the adjuster, back the adjuster off, remove the driveside crank arm, replace the spider, then reverse the process. Remember to torque up the driveside crank arm correctly before using the adjuster on the non-driveside to take out any play.
If you don't do this, you may end up with incorrect preload, which could kill the bearings or even the crankset in pretty short order.1 -
