Does anyone have experience of either? It looks as though the Cannondale is a more racy position but wondered if anyone had tried both and could say which was the nicer ride?
Thanks!
Thanks!

You've stated in your other post that you've just bought the Cannondale.
Why are you looking for a comparison now?
Surely the time to be making comparisons is before you've spent your wonga.0 -

The Optimo I've had for about two weeks developed a fault which the LBS couldn't fix, so said I could get another bike.
So I have the choice again!
Any thoughts hun?0 -
Did you get to ride the Cannondale much before the fault occurred?
I'd stick with the Cannondale personally.0 -

I did go out on it most days and it felt pretty good (coming from a Boardman Hybrid). It is pretty hard on the bum and back though and I am wondering if that is geometry-related or if you'd get that on any bike after a bit.
I definitely prefer the look of the cannondale, but do intend on riding for up to 5 hours at a time and wonder if the bike is a bit too unforgiving

I had a CAAD10 and a CAAD12 and did 6 hour rides on them with no real discomfort at the end other than feeling tired.
One bike might fit you better than the other, but I found that spending a few quid on a new saddle was the best money I ever spent.0 -
Oh that is good to know. I will have a look for a decent saddle soon I think!
