Road tyre advice

I,ve for vittoria zaffiro 700 x 25 c tyres fitted but have just had two bursts that ruined tyre and tubes

The tyres are only 10 quid each but is there any better tyres out there for slr rims, something that take a little pounding

If you're bursting the tyres and tubes then either you're not running enough air in them or the brake pads are rubbing onto the tyre.

I'm running Continental GP5000's which are standing up extremely well to the pounding I'm giving them. Not only are they helping me cover substantial miles, 200+ a week, but as a "big lad" proving to be very durable.

I've never found any good reason to depart from Conti 4000s/5000s on the summer bike and 4seasons on the winter. They just do the job.

After many years using Conti and Schwalbe tyres a riding buddy suggested Specialized S-Works Turbo and I'm glad he did, they are superb and feel as though they will last for years. Can be pricey, but there are sometimes offers to be had.
    Specialized Venge S Works
    Cannondale Synapse
    Enigma Etape
    Genesis Flyer Single Speed

Turn the corner, rub my eyes and hope the world will last...
