Could you put 26" wheel set into a 650b frame?

Just bung em in for the lulz and old school vibe?

Has anyone tried it?

Not tried it, but yes of course you can (assuming it’s a disc brake), you’ll have a BB circa 1/2” lower is all.

Wheels are part of your gearing from pedal to road, and because the wheel diameter is now slightly smaller, you will have a slightly reduced top speed, but you will get there quicker! :)
  • Perhaps 26" wheel but with a big fat tyre on it? (if it'd clear the frame).
Just an idle thought, i do kinda think it'd be cool though.
