Hello
I have a Boardman MHT 8.6
I was looking at getting some through axles instead of the QR for front and rear.
Is this possible on this bike? If so, when buying - what dimensions am i looking for?
Spec from shop where i bought ir from:
-front 9 x100mm
-rear 10x141mm boost
Boardman website:
32H front and rear 141mm?
If anyone needs some more info/data to answer please let me know.
If someone could take the time to explain to a noob it would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Mick

Unfortunately you are stuck with the 141 quick release rear because of the frame dropouts which is a slot rather than 'holes' for thru axles.
It is possible to have thru axle on front but only if you change/upgrade your forks and probably the wheel/hub too depending on the bearing type of your current front hub.0 -
Ah right, thats that then
Thanks a lot for the info!0 -
Your welcome! 141 quick release rear is still a stiffer Boost wheel (wider hub and spoke spacing) and an improvement on non boost quick release in real terms.
Happy riding Pal.
