Removal tool for FSA crankset.

Does anyone know what tool I require to remove this FSA crank on my Cannondale Synapse?

Thanks all.

  • Yup. I have one. No idea what it's called. Google Qwerty Cycles. He had them, and will advise you what you need. If you are near N Liverpool you can borrow mine.....social distancing permitting.

Looks like a spline key, sometimes called a triple square.

You just need a suitable sized allen key or hex wrench depending on what you want to call it, goes through the hole

It's self extracting and tightening depending which way you go, in this case clockwise to remove and anti-clockwise to attach

Don't try and remove the outer rings which has the 6 dented holes in it, it's needed to make the self extraction work.

Park Tools are your friend in this respect. Link below tells you all you need to know and shows how to do it.
