Removing this ? (With pic)

I'm changing the chainrings on this, I gave up doing maintenance on square taper so not sure exactly how much I need to take off but it appears the whole chainset.

I'm assuming I gave to remove the whole lot by undoing the non- drive side or...?

Or is there some kind of special tool fits into that silver ring in the pic with 10 indentations?

Yes, remove non drive side crank then drive side can be taken off.
